Naga and the Captainess

Naga and the Captainess is a massive sculptural project that currently resides in Golden Gate Park. It was first installed at Burning Man in 2024, where it was part of an immersive display that included a Shipwreck, fully decorated Captainess’s quarters, a climbable mast, and multiple fire barrels.

Marc provided extensive design, 3D rendering, and fabrication work to this project, including sculpting the head, illustrating the fins, then 3D Printing them, and creating the final shape of the body with guidance from from the lead artist, Cjay Roughgarden.
